TYSONS CORNER, VA August 11, 2015 — Three contracting teams led by Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman have been awarded contracts to develop prototypes for the next-generation JSTARS aircraft, GovCon Wire reported Monday.
Defense News said Friday the U.S. Air Force expects it will be able to determine the winning design to replace E-8C technology by 2017, and plans an operational fleet by 2023.
