TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 23, 2017 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) have received separate contracts from the U.S. Air Force for the technology maturation and risk reduction phase of the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent program, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
The Defense Department said Monday the Air Force awarded a $349.1 million contract to Boeing and a $328.6 million contract to Northrop as the service branch seeks to replace the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile system.
