Linda Hudson, president and CEO of BAE Systems’ American subsidiary, has announced she will retire no later than March 31, 2014.
When she first came to the company, Hudson served as president of the land and armaments operating group.
She came to BAE from General Dynamics, also worked at Harris Corp. and helped Lockheed Corp merge with Martin Marietta.
In other government news, McAfee global public sector VP and CTO since 2009 Phyllis Scheck will become deputy homeland security undersecretary.
Previously in her career, Schneck held leadership at CSC, IBM, NASA and MITRE Corp.

At GovPlace, Akima veteran Mark Serway has been appointed CFO at Reston,Va.- based GovPlace.
He is a 25-year financial leadership veteran who also held positions at Lockheed Martin and Getronics Government Solutions.
In another executive move, Maureen Carter became creative director at Deloitte Digital.
She previously worked for Nickelodeon, BMG, Comcast and Time Warner.
Rob Frazzini, Deloitte Consulting principal, said the appointment reflects the firm’s aims to help digitally transform the federal government.
