TYSONS CORNER, VA August 4, 2015 — Engility will provide radar engineering, software support and logistics work for the U.S. Navy under a $35.4 million follow-on contract originally awarded to TASC prior to its 2015 acquisition, GovCon Wire reported Monday.
The work is for the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Port Hueneme Division and will be performed in Virginia Beach through August 2016, with options that could extend the contract to December 2016, Engility said Monday.
“We are honored by the opportunity to continue serving the NSWC and this important mission, which we have supported for more than 20 years,” said Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2015.
“This renewal solidifies our in-service engineering, acquisition engineering and logistics capabilities in any and all locations where the U.S. Navy utilizes its surface ships and submarines.”
