08-August-2012 –Executive Mosaic, a Fairfax County-based leader in senior executive programs and media for the government contracting sector, today announced the appointment of Chris Peabody as chief operating officer for the company. Reporting to company Founder and President Jim Garrettson, Peabody assumes responsibility for the company’s growing business and financial operations, membership service and sales organizations, as well as strategic growth initiatives.
Peabody brings more than 15 years of experience to the company in top operating and technology management positions in the Washington, DC region. He most recently served as chief operating officer for telecommunications services provider Allied Telecom Group.

Peabody also previously served as chief of networks and communication services for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, deputy chief technology officer for the District of Columbia government, and director of network and computing services at Georgetown University. His early career was with Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). Peabody is a graduate of Furman University.
