ExecutiveBiz published a spotlight with Stephanie Hill of Lockheed Martin.
She currently serves as the company’s president of the Information Systems & Global Solutions’ civil product line.
In her conversation with ExecutiveBiz, Hill discusses a number of topics including a recent cloud contract with the EPA, her work in c education which recently earned her an award and government procurement trends..
When asked about the STEM award she won form the Women of Color Science, Technology, Engineering and Math conference, Hill was very appreciative of the honor.
“For me, if this award inspired one person, a young woman, a young minority, or whomever to reconsider a career in STEM, then, I’m just more grateful than you can imagine for being recognized,” she said.
She also talked about the changes that have occurred in the industry in the past 10 years.
“I think in the last 10 years, there has been a higher sensitivity and a laser focus on the budgets and making sure that we are delivering as cost effectively as we can. Our customer’s budgets are under greater pressure, while their mission responsibility is increasing,” Hill added.
In the published Q&A, Hill discussed a cloud contract Lockheed completed for the EPA, where the firm moved email services to the cloud.
“Moving 22,000 employees from Lotus Notes to Cloud based e‑mail was a tremendous feat.  And the partnership was what made it work,” she said.
