TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 8, 2017 — A subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) will perform fiscal 2017 dry-docking phased maintenance availability work on the U.S. Navy‘s USS Makin Island amphibious assault ship under a potential $106 million contract, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.
The Defense Department said Tuesday General Dynamics NASSCO will provide ship maintenance, modernization and repair services to the Navy and perform work in San Diego, California, through September 2018.
