TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 21, 2017 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) could soon provide six C-130J Super Hercules aircraft to Germany under a potential $966 million foreign military sales deal in line with a joint operating agreement with France, GovCon Wire reported Monday.
Reuters reported Friday the agreement between Germany and France works to support efforts for greater defense cooperation in Europe and aims to build a joint fleet that both countries will operate.
The report said the German government plans to submit the C-130J procurement request to the U.S. in 2019 and conduct separate talks with Canada this year for the purchase of associated CAE-built (NYSE: CAE) simulators for training.
