The website published a number of stories this week including pieces about leadership changes in the U.S. military.
The changes include Gen. John Campbell being nominated as the top commander in Afghanistan and Admiral Bill Gortney and Lt. Gen. Joseph Votel nominated for new leadership roles.
If confirmed, Campbell will be in charge of all U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.
The 35-year military veteran has been serving as the Army’s vice chief of staff since March 8, 2013.
He led and deployed the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and has led other U.S. military units in Germany, Haiti and Iraq.

In other military leadership news, Gortney was nominated to lead the U.S. Northern Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command and Votel was nominated to head the U.S. Special Operations Command.
Gortney is currently commander of fleet forces command and previously supported the U.S. Central Command in maritime security and combat operations.
Votel currently serves as commander of the Joint Special Operations Command and previously served as SOCOM chief of staff.
