Soon after the start of the 2014 year, Executive Mosaic’s leadership elected 100 executives and officials from across the GovCon landscape as the 2013 class of the Wash100, the premier group of leaders on both sides of the intersection of the private and public sectors.
Near the top of the inductees stood longtime CACI stalwart Jack London, whose name and leadership record is synonymous with GovCon, Capitol and international business, and the value driven to the government and American public by industry.
London helped drive CACI’s transformation into a diversified global firm with deep offerings in intelligence, defense, homeland security, information technology and business transformation.
His thought leadership has not only entrenched the firm in these areas, but has served as a measuring stick for the industry as a whole, from his regular Asymmetric Threat Global Snapshots to pieces in other publications and books on driving growth and value amid market change due to sequestration, budgets, and more.
“There are only three ways to close the yawning gap between ends and means: scale down the objectives, thus restoring strategic clarity and focus; increase the means, which is highly unlikely, given fiscal realities; or, most dangerously, bluff. Doing nothing and allowing the gap to deepen is the last resort,” London noted in one of his snapshots.
London served for more than 23 years as CEO after retiring from his military service in the U.S. Navy and currently steers the firm as its executive chairman.
The Wash100 is a group of private and public sectors officially elected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership for demonstrating a consistent commitment to organizational excellence, and driving above-average value to the American public through strategic vision, innovation and achievement.
Executive Mosaic inducts new leaders each year, but the recognition is earned over a career of work.
