TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 3, 2017 — A joint venture between Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured a potential $191.1 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to launch a new satellite that will work to support space test missions, GovCon Wire reported Friday.
The Defense Department said Thursday United Launch Alliance will supply a space launch vehicle, perform mission integration and spaceflight worthiness checks and send the satellite to orbit as part of Space Test Program-3.
