TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 23, 2017 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is working with suppliers to reduce $5 billion in costs for the production of the F-35 fighter jet amid negotiations on a contract for Lot 11, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.
Bloomberg reported Tuesday the Lot 11 contract may involve the production of as many as 130 F-35s compared to the 90 fighter jets included in the $8.5 billion Lot 10 contract finalized in February.
