TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 20, 2017 — Mitre has named Lori Scherer, company veteran who most recently served as deputy director of intelligence portfolios, as vice president for intelligence portfolios at the National Security Engineering Center, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.
Scherer will be in charge of that federally funded research and development center, which Mitre operates for the Defense Department, the nonprofit organization said Tuesday.
“Lori combines a keen understanding of the Intelligence Community’s sensitive missions with a strong focus on technical excellence and commitment to the public interest,” said William LaPlante, senior vice president and general manager of Mitre’s national security sector.
