GovCon Wire publishes a number of stories each week that include executive appointments, M&A activity and earnings reports at GovCon firms.
This week, the biggest news the website covered was the announcement that David Johnson has been appointed Sterling Global Operations vice president of strategic development and Washington operations where he will lead the Reston, Va. office and develop a new business pipeline.
Johnson previously served as assistant secretary of state, National Security Council spokesman and U.S. ambassador to the Organization for Security Cooperation in Europe.
Alan Weakley, SGO president and chief operating officer, said Johnson has remarkable level of experience in the areas of diplomacy, intelligence and security issues, economic matters and global crisis management.
Johnson has been a member of Sterling’s board of advisors since 2011 and served as U.S. Afghanistan Coordinator and Charge d’ Affaires at the Embassy in London earlier in his career.
