TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 28, 2016 — A Nippon Telegraph & Telephone (NYSE: NTT) subsidiary has received a five-year, $85 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to extend independent verification and validation services to the Customs and Border Protection agency’s office of acquisition, GovCon Wire reported Dec. 21.
NTT Data will verify the compliance of border management systems to CBP’s requirements, as well as support program management efficiency under the recompete contract, the company said Dec. 20.
Tim Conway, president of the public sector group at NTT DATA, said the company will work to provide new technology that will help the government secure the country’s borders.
