TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 10, 2017 — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and its industry partners will work to build a combat vehicle experimental prototype for the U.S. Army under a potential $237 million contract, GovCon Wire reported Sept. 28.
The SAIC-led team, which includes Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), GS Engineering, Moog, Nevada Automotive Test Center and Roush Industries, will provide research, design, development, integration, manufacturing and demonstration services to the Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center under the Next Generation Combat Vehicle Prototype program.
“These design and prototyping efforts will assist in refining vehicle requirements, maturing technologies and will contribute to the successful modernization of Army Combat Vehicles going forward,” said Jim Scanlon, SAIC senior vice president and general manager for the defense systems group.
