TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 2, 2018 — Siemens‘ government technologies business has secured an energy savings performance contract financed in euros by DZ Bank and United Financial of Illinois to implement energy-efficiency measures at a U.S. military facility in Germany, GovCon Wire reported Dec. 18.
The company said Dec. 18 Siemens Government Technologies will perform work under the estimated $9.4 million contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to drive energy conservation at the Army Installation Management Command headquarters in Wiesbaden.
“The U.S. Army continues to lean forward in using flexible financing arrangements such as ESPCs to save energy — and taxpayer dollars,” said Barbara Humpton, president and CEO of SGT.
