TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 20, 2016 — Boeing (NYSE: BA), Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) and Space Systems Loral have received separate contracts from NASA to study concepts relevant to a potential Mars orbiter mission, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
The space agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Monday the four-month concept studies will focus on capabilities such as communications, operations, imaging and scientific instrumentation.
