Thomas Kennedy Elevates to Raytheon EVP, COO as Company Makes Realignment Moves

Dr. Thomas Kennedy has elevated to EVP and COO at Raytheon, where he will help shape long-range planning efforts and customer engagement strategies.
His promotion forms part of a larger realignment, where the intelligence and information systems and technical services businesses will combine and elements of the former network centric systems business will spread out over Raytheon’s other three business units.

Daniel Crowley will succeed Kennedy as president ofintegrated defense systems and Lynn Dugle will lead the new IIS business.
Brad Feldmann on New Cubic Defense President Dave Schmitz
Dave Schmitz has been promoted to president of Cubic Corp.‘s defense applications business segment, succeeding Brad Feldmann, who became Cubic’s president and COO in February.
Schmitz has served as Cubic Defense COO for for nine months and previously served as vice president and general manager for Cobham‘s sensor systems business.
Feldmann says Schmitz brings strategic planning and business management experience into his new position as Cubic aims to grow its international presence.
Dave Schmitz has been promoted to president of Cubic Corp.‘s defense applications business segment, succeeding Brad Feldmann, who became Cubic’s president and COO in February. Schmitz has served as Cubic Defense COO for for nine months and previously served as vice president and general manager for Cobham‘s sensor systems business.
Feldmann says Schmitz brings strategic planning and business management experience into his new position as Cubic aims to grow its international presence.
The new Cubic Defense lead has more than 20 years of experience in defense electronics and has worked on a number of aircraft programs including the F-35, F-18 and B-2.
Glen Post on the Retirement of Savvis CEO Jim Ousley
Effective April 1, Jim Ousley will retire as CEO of CenturyLink’s Savvis subsidiary and will be succeeded by Jeff Von Deylen.
Ousley was appointed to Savvis’ board of directors in 2002 and served as non-executive chairman between 2006 and 2010.
“We will miss Jim’s presence and wish him well as he heads into retirement, and we look forward to continued growth and success in our data hosting segment under Jeff‘s leadership,” said Glen Post, CenturyLink CEO.
Von Deylen joined Savvis in 2003 as CFO and was promoted to president last year.
Mark Chadason on MacB’s Appointment of John Gorman to Lead BD
John Gorman has been named VP of Maryland operations and business development at MacAulay-Brown, where he will be tasked with growing business and supporting intelligence clients at Fort Meade, Md.
“The work done at Fort Meade is critical to keeping our Cyber systems – and the Nation as a whole – secure,” said Mark Chadason, SVP and general manager of the national security group.
The Defense Information Systems Agency and U.S Cyber Command reside at Fort Meade.Prior to this appointment, Gorman served as VP of net-centric computing at KEYW Corp., has led cyber and information assurance at Northrop Grumman and also led national cyber strategy at L-3 Communications.
