Mary Ann Hopkins on Parsons Govt Services Promotion of Randy Morgan to Operations EVP
Randy Morgan has elevated to EVP of operations at Parsons’ government services business, where he will oversee nine support departments.
The 28-year industry vet joined Parsons as an SVP after it acquired SPARTA in 2011 and helped integrate the two businesses.
Mary Ann Hopkins, a Parsons group president, said Morgan brings knowledge of the markets Parsons serves and experience in leading complex organizations.
Morgan served as president of both the defense and missile defense sectors during his time at SPARTA.
John Jumper on SAIC’s Appointment of Lou Von Thaer National Security Sector Lead
Lou Von Thaer has been named president of SAIC’s national security sector, which will form part of Leidos when SAIC splits into two companies.
The former president of General Dynamics’ advanced information systems business will oversee 13,000 scientists, analysts, engineers and business professionals when he starts his new role June 6.
“The strength of SAIC today and the promise of future Leidos comes from the talent, expertise and perspectives of our employees – and that starts at the top,” said John Jumper, SAIC chairman and CEO.
Thaer held executive roles at Lucent Technologies and its predecessor AT&T Bell Laboratories before joining GDAIS in 2005.
David Langstaff on TASC’s New SVP and CSO Randy Phillips
Randy Phillips has become SVP of corporate development and chief strategy officer at TASC, where he will help form the company’s growth strategy and identify future acquisitions.
Phillips comes to the Chantilly, Va.-based contractor from a VP role at CSC, where he led 25 M&A transactions totaling more than $3 billion in revenue.
David Langstaff, TASC president and CEO, said Phillips will aim to help complement the company’s core offerings for current and emerging national security and public safety challenges.
Phillips previously served in corporate development roles at TRW and helped lead the company through its 2002 sale to Northrop Grumman.
Tony Smeraglinolo on Engility’s Inclusion in a $400M USAID Clean Energy IDIQ
Engility Corp.’s IRG subsidiary is one of four awardees on a $400 million contract to help USAID provide developing countries access to clean energy.
Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO, said the company has provided energy support services to USAID for more than three decades and this contract expands that relationship.
IRG, Tetra Tech, Dexis Consulting Group and ECODIT will compete to help countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan use new technologies intended to reduce carbon output.
