Deloitte has partnered with scientists to determine certain patterns of behavior that chief financial officers have in terms of strategies and individual interactions, CPI Financial reports.

Isla MacFarlane writes that Deloitte’s Business Chemistry report found that there are four main types of CFOss: drivers, pioneers, integrators, and guardians.

James Babb, Deloitte Middle East CFO program leader and partner, said cultural diversity makes the report “particularly relevant to the Middle East region.”

The Power of Business Chemistry was published in a recent issue of CFO Insights report.

“Understanding the cultural differences between people on top of their individual personality traits makes it even more challenging for a CFO to relate to the people he is working with, establish trust with them, communicate with them effectively, and find the common bonds upon which to build a healthy chemistry within a culturally diverse team,” Babb added.
