EM Logo5Mike Rogers, House Intelligence Committee chairman, recently said that the U.S. military must arm states that could be embroiled in the Crimea crisis.
The Congressman from Michigan and former FBI special agent doesn’t think the economic sanctions are enough and told Meet The Press that more must be done.
Rogers said military aid in the form of small arms, medical supplies and radio equipment should be sent to U.S. allies.
“You do that (offer defensive-posture weapon systems) in conjunction with sanctions, now you’ve got something that says, ‘Mr. Putin, we’re done with you expanding into other countries,” Rogers said.
