wash100-SEALSoon after the start of the 2014 year, Executive Mosaic’s leadership elected 100 executives and officials from across the GovCon landscape as the 2013 class of the Wash100, the premier group of leaders on both sides of the intersection of the private and public sectors.

Near the top of the inductees stood Brad Antle, the president and CEO of Salient Federal Solutions, a company he founded in 2008 as he sought to stake out a position in the “middle market” of the GovCon space as a “rapidly adaptive company.”

In the current mix of LPTA, best value and uncertain budgets, Antle continues to see that agility as key. “Modernization unfortunately requires initial investment and with the challenging budget environment that we’re in now, that’s a big leap for some customers to make,” Antle noted to ExecutiveBiz.
But, he is promoting a solution.

Through the company’s ‘Agility as a Service’ offering, Antle is working to enable federal and other government customers to “to try small investments in agile software Brad-Antle-Salient-ExecutiveMosiacdevelopment and deliver new technology without jumping in full bore” as the company is “able to scale our CMMI level 3-assessed agile software development capability to fit the needs of our customers.”
“I am a big fan of biting off bits of a system, modernizing the capability, demonstrating the value that it creates and allowing that to generate greater investment in modernizing the legacy system,” Antle said. “It can be a significant benefit to our customers in the long run.”

The Wash100 is a group of private and public sectors officially elected by Executive Mosaic’s organizational and editorial leadership for demonstrating a consistent commitment to organizational excellence, and driving above-average value to the American public through strategic vision, innovation and achievement.

Executive Mosaic inducts new leaders each year, but the recognition is earned over a career of work.
