EM Logo5Robert Rodriguez, founder of the Security Innovation Network, has said the salary gap for cyberworkers in the public and private sectors could mean more government cyber experts going to industry.

He said government organizations must be willing to take risks and embrace change in order to resolve technical challenges.
“I have people from the Pentagon, more people from the government, wanting to call me, meet with me, talk about the transition from the public to the private sector,” Rodriguez said, according to the report.
“To me, if you have a government person who goes to a startup, that’s a win-win because that government person understands the challenge and the processes better than someone strictly from industry.”
