Phillips joined USIS as president and CEO on the first day of 2013 and has since overseen around 6,000 employees providing intelligence services and security solutions across global markets.
Altegrity CEO Sharon Rowlands pointed to Phillips experience leading organizations with geographically dispersed workforces as a key differentiator for him and said the USIS parent company looked to tap his “blend” of executive experience in government, security and technology.
Phillips had previously helped drive impressive growth and sales of several companies in the GovCon industry to buyers including QinetiQ and Unicom Systems.
After a close-to-quarter-century career with IBM and executive posts with contractors including Federal Data Corp. and CSC, Phillips would go on to serve as chairman and CEO of Analex Corp.; as a venture partner at FirstMark Captital; and CEO, president and director of GTSI.
