TYSONS CORNER, VA August 31, 2015 — Boeing, General Electric, Lockheed Martin and Longbow, a joint venture of Lockheed and Northrop Grumman, moved closer to a $3 billion contract to update the British government’s Apache helicopter fleet following State Department approval of the possible sale, GovCon Wire reported Friday.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notice states the proposed foreign military sales contract includes the refurbishment of associated parts and equipment, and logistics support provisioning, in support of the remanufacture of 50 UK WAH-64 Mk 1 attack helicopters to AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters.
