TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 17, 2016 — The Government Accountability Office has upheld the U.S. Air Force‘s award of the potential $80 billion Long Range Strike Bomber contract to Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) in October, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
The report said GAO denied the protest submitted by the industry team of Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
“GAO concluded that the technical evaluation, and the evaluation of costs, was reasonable, consistent with the terms of the solicitation and in accordance with procurement laws and regulations,” the agency said in the ruling.
