TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 8, 2016 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will provide the Federal Aviation Administration a flight data management system that uses electronic flight strips under a $344 million contract, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.
FAA said Wednesday Lockheed’s Terminal Flight Data Manager will work to help air traffic controllers exchange real-time digital flight plans and make tactical decisions to manage aircraft traffic flow using situational information such as weather conditions.
