TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 2, 2016 — The National Nuclear Security Administration will reset the proposal review process on a potential 10-year, $5 billion contract to manage and operate the Nevada National Security Site, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.
NNSA said Wednesday it has cancelled the contract awarded to Nevada Site Science Support and Technologies Corp. because of a lack of notification on the company’s acquisition by Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) as part of its recent merger with the information systems and global solutions unit of former NVS3T parent Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
The incumbent contract held by the National Security Technologies joint venture of Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), AECOM (NYSE: ACM), CH2M and Babcock & Wilcox will remain in place until NNSA awards the new contract.
