TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 1, 2016 — Engility (NYSE: EGL) has received a potential five-year, $112 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Food and Drug Administration for computational science and bioinformatics support on gene-based drug discovery and development programs, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.
The company said Thursday it will provide operations and maintenance support for computing environments and systems, as well as help the agency establish new computing architectures to analyze data sets for scientific research.
“With this award, Engility expands on our long-standing partnership with the FDA to further develop their high-performance computing and complex data analysis capabilities,” said Engility CEO Lynn Dugle.
