General-AtomicsTYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 18, 2016 — The State Department has approved the sale of $1 billion worth of General Atomics-built Certifiable Predator B remotely piloted aircraft, equipment, training and support to the U.K. under the foreign military sales program, GovCon Wire said Thursday.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Wednesday that the U.K. looks to purchase 26 Predator B drones, 12 Ground Control Stations, four New Launch and Recovery Element GCS, six updates to existing Blk 15 Launch and Recovery Element GCSs, 25 Multi-spectral Targeting Systems, 25 AN/APY-8 Lynx IIe Block 20A Synthetic Aperture Radar and Ground Moving Target Indicators and 86 Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Guidance Units.
