TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 10, 2017 — Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) will support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency‘s outreach, research and training activities for its cooperative anti-biological warfare efforts under a potential $170 million contract, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday it will work with other companies, non-governmental organizations, research institutions and scientists as part of DTRA’s Scientific & Technical Engagement Partnership program.
“The international assistance provided under this contract will strengthen U.S. government international outreach in countering threats posed by weapons of mass destruction, particularly biological weapons,” said Tim Reardon, president of Leidos’ defense and intelligence business.
