TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 30, 2018 — A subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) targets a potential $2 billion investment to further develop its shipyards in line with U.S. Navy shipbuilding needs, GovCon Wire reported Monday.
Defense News reported Friday General Dynamics CEO Phebe Novakovic told investors in an earnings call that approximately $1.7 billion will go to the Electric Boat shipyard in Connecticut, while $200 million will be allocated between Bath Iron Works in Maine and NASSCO in California.
Novakovic, who also serves as chairman of General Dynamics, is a 2018 Wash100 recipient.
