TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 12, 2018 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) established two new divisions within its defense, space and security business as part of a reorganization effort that took effect at the beginning of the month, GovCon Wire reported April 2.
Defense One reported March 29 that Leanne Caret, president and CEO of BDS and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, revealed the missile and weapon systems division and commercial derivative aircraft division in an email to employees, noting the company’s efforts to streamline its structure and position.
The commercial derivative aircraft unit is based in Seattle under the leadership of Tim Peters, while Norm Tew leads the new missile and weapons systems segment based in Huntsville, Alabama.
