Executive Mosaic’s weekly round-up of news is a can’t-miss, digestible snapshot of the GovCon industry covering the biggest executive moves, mergers & acquisitions and contracts straight from the pen of one of GovCon’s most respected facilitators and sources of breaking news, Jim Garrettson.
This week, the newsletter contained varied GovCon news including two executive moves, an executive comment on a major task order win and acquisition news.
The first executive move was Terry Roberts being named VP of intelligence and cyber in TASC’s intelligence group.
“Terry brings a deep understanding of the intelligence mission and the systems engineering and integration discipline, honed over more than 30 years of serving the intelligence community,” says Al Pisani, senior vice president of TASC’s intelligence group.
The second executive move was Textron’s Ellen Lord replacing the retiring Fred Strader as CEO of the company’s defense systems segment.
Textron chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly said Lord has led defense systems since January 2011 and credited her with realigning the business in a time of shifting customer demands.
Govcon Wire published a story about a General Dynamics Information Technology task order win for a potential $100 million to support the Medicare Secondary Payer Program.
Marcus Collier is the senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology for the health and solutions division, and said of the task order, “Ensuring claims are paid correctly is a vital element in keeping the Medicare system functioning smoothly.”
The last section of the newsletter covered Boeing’s buy of supply chain specialist Miro Technologies, which will become part of the company’s global services and support operations.
“Bringing Miro into Boeing will provide us with industry-leading MRO and PBL supply chain software capabilities to help our customers plan and execute missions across the ground, air, sea and space domains,” said Tony Parasida, president of Boeing GS&S.
