EM Logo5Executive Mosaic’s weekly round-up of news is a can’t-miss, digestible snapshot of the GovCon industry covering the biggest executive moves, mergers & acquisitions and contracts straight from the pen of one of GovCon’s most respected facilitators and sources of breaking news, Jim Garrettson.
This week, the newsletter contained some of the most read stories that Executive Mosaic’s media properties published in 2013.
One article that was featured in the newsletter was an exclusive interview with Dr. Ray O. Johnson, SVP and CTO of Lockheed Martin.
The academic and Air Force veteran spoke on a range of topics that included STEM education and how he stays ahead of government acquisition trends.
“I think the key is to have a balanced portfolio. History has shown that in times of economic downturns or defense drawdowns, making investments in future technologies is important. So you cannot give up on future investments. At the same time, there are near-term challenges that have to be met,’ he said in the interview.
Just this week, Johnson was inducted into the Washington 100 for his contributions to technology innovation.

Another story that was included in the recap was PAE moving to a new corporate headquarters in Arlington, Va.
“It was time to mark a new era for PAE with a new working environment.  This building is customized for how our teams operate and built with the flexibility to support future growth,” said Michael Dignam, PAE CEO.
The exclusive article detailed the consolidation of four PAE offices in the D.C. metropolitan area.
“We designed the space to be very open and conducive to collaboration across organization, and we have incorporated details that honor the origins of the company and the culture that has set it apart,” Dignam added.
