One of the profiles published was that of Rick Holgate, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assistant director for science and technology and chief information officer.
In that position, Holgate is responsible for strategy, planning, managing and delivering IT and information services, financial investigative services and laboratory services throughout the agency.
Prior to his position at the ATF, Holgate served as the first executive assistant director at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
At NCIS, he oversaw IT service delivery to the agency’s 2,400 employees.
His industry positions before going into public service include working for BearingPoint and MITRE Corp.

Doug Rosendale serves as CEO at Cairn Corp., a health information technology startup he founded aimed at advancing interoperability and increased use of mobile technology healthcare.
Rosendale was the senior physician adviser for clinical informatics at the Veterans Health Administration‘s office of health information
Prior to that role, he co-chaired the intra-governmental Health IT Innovation/Interoperability Development Environments sub-group for health IT innovation test beds, created by the White House’s Office of Science and Technology and Policy.
Rosendale has also served as chief of surgery for the VA’s medical center in Grand Junction and is a recipient of the 2006 American College of Osteopathic Surgeons’ “Presidential Recognition Award” for his contributions on the Surgical Quality Alliance.
