This week, there were four major executive moves and one acquisition that Mr. Garrettson covered in the column.
The first appointment is retired two-star Army general David Lacquement moving to the director position of SAIC’s cybersecurity unit.
The executive’s most recent position of his 30-year army career was the head of operations at U.S. Cyber Command.
The next story details Bruce Feldman being appointed National Systems SVP at QinetiQ North America.
Feldman spent 13 years at General Dynamics subsidiary GCI Inc. after working for nine years with TASC.
The last two executive moves that are covered in the newsletter are counselor positions being filled at Northrop Grumman.
James Stephenson will elevate to vice president, associate general counsel and sector counsel of the electronic systems sector and has been with the company for over 20 years.
The other Northrop move is 17-year Raytheon bet Kathryn Simpson being appointed vice president and deputy general counsel. Both executives will report to Sheila Cheston in their new roles.
The acquisition that Mr. Garrettson focused on this week was the Booz Allen purchase of ARINC’s defense systems engineering and support division.
The McLean,Va.- based contractor will pay $154 million cash in the deal.
