Three influential executives were recognized last week at the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards for their contributions to the people and companies they lead and the customers they serve.

The honorees included Jack London, CACI‘s CEO for 23 years, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame, Richard Montoni, president & CEO of Maximus, Executive of the Year for contractors exceeding $300 million in revenue and John Hillen-led Sotera Defense Solutions winning Contractor of the Year in the same category.

The awards were not the only significant activity in the upper level GovCon ranks last week as notable executive moves drove industry activity.
Tony Moraco & John Jumper Named CEOs of SAIC’s New Companies 

John Jumper, current SAIC CEO, and Tony Moraco, current president of SAIC‘s ISR group, will becomethe heads of the two independent publicly-traded companies SAIC will separate into in 2014.
Jumper’s $7 billion company will focus on national security, health and engineering solutions while Moraco’s $4 billion new firm will focus on government technical services and the enterprise IT business.

Stu Shea, current SAIC chief operating officer, will become president and COO of the national security company and its CFO will be Mark Sopp. 
Because of Moraco’s move, that company will conduct a search for a new national security sector president.

David Moskovitz’s Appointment to Lead Accenture’s Federal Business 

David Moskovitz was named chief executive of the federal business at Accenture and succeeds John Goodman, managing director of the defense and intelligence business, who had served as interim lead.
The 30-year government technology and transformation veteran has been at the company for 18 years and was most recently the growth and strategy head of the health and public service operating group.

“David combines an understanding of the importance of providing exceptional client services with a strategic business background that is essential in today’s federal economic environment,” said Stephen Rohleder, group chief executive for health and public service.
A former lead for the U.S. state and local government practice, Moskovitz will set strategic direction, position the business in the market, manage client relationships and develop talent in his new role.
Dennis Muilenburg on Boeing’s 7 Executive Moves and the Creation of a Ralph Meoni-Led Electronic Systems Division

Boeing Defense, Space and Security will see seven executive moves take place January 1, 2013, including Ralph Meoni‘s move to VP and GM of a new electronic and information solutions division.

“We are at one of the most challenging yet opportunity-rich times in our history,” Dennis Muilenburg, BDS President and CEO said.
“While funding for the U.S. Department of Defense is under extreme pressure, we’re innovating and expanding our core, in the U.S. and around the globe, to sustain and grow our business.”

Mark Testoni on SAP NS2’s New National VP for Corporate Development Cherreka Montgomery

Cherreka Montgomery was named national vice president for corporate development at SAP‘s national security services subsidiary NS2, which launched in April.

 Mark Testoni, President and CEO of SAP NS2, said Montgomery brings important background and presence in the diplomatic and intelligence communities to the role.
In addition to serving as director for evaluation and management in the Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs while working at the State Department, Montgomery was nominated for State’sFranklin Award.
