TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 22, 2017 — AT&T (NYSE: T) will help the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention update its telecommunications systems under a potential $119 million task order from the General Services Administration, GovCon Wire reported Wednesday.
The company said Tuesday the task order awarded via the Connections II vehicle covers updates to CDC’s local area network, in-building cellular coverage and Wi-Fi to support the work of agency employees and contractors.
Mike Leff, vice president of AT&T’s global public sector business for civilian agencies, said the company will work to deliver connectivity services to CDC in support of the agency’s health-focused mission.
