Yesterday, GovCon Wire published an article announcing Lou Von Thaer as the new president of the national security sector at SAIC.
In his new role, he will oversee nearly 13,000 analysts, scientists, engineers and business professionals at the McLean, Va- based firm.
He comes to SAIC from his role as president of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems business unit, a position he held since 2005.
“The strength of SAIC today and the promise of future Leidos comes from the talent, expertise and perspectives of our employees – and that starts at the top,” said John Jumper, SAIC’s current and Leidos’ future chairman and CEO.
“I’m incredibly excited for Lou to join our company and add his talents to our leadership team,” Jumper said.
Before GDAIS, Von Thaer worked for the advanced technology systems division of Lucent Technologies and its predecessor, AT&T Bell Laboratories.
