This week, the biggest news the website covered was the appointment of Charles Beard to principal at PwC’s advisory practice.
In his new role, he will provide cybersecuirty related consulting services to a range of clients.
In his most recent role, Beard served as senior vice president and general manager at SAIC where he led the cybersecurity group, which provides risk analysis, threat operations, incident response and server technologies to government and commercial customers.
The industry veteran also served as CIO while at SAIC.
Prior to SAIC, Beard served as a director in the Oliver Wyman division of professional services firm Marsh & McLennan.
“Charles brings extensive experience in the areas of cybersecurity, technology and consulting to PwC,” said David Burg, a principal in PwC US’ advisory practice focused on cybercrime.
“He will be an important member of the team as we work with clients to confront the ongoing challenges of conducting business in a world that relies on technology to drive innovation,” Burg added.
Beard holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Montana.
