On Monday, GovCon Wire announced that the SI Organization has appointed Barry Barlow the company’s new chief technology officer.
The 36-year aerospace and technology vet comes to the company from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where he most recently served as director for online geospatial intelligence services.
“Barry is a highly respected technologist and gifted leader who has designed and architected many of NGA’s key programs,” said Bill Graham, president and CEO.
“We have worked closely with Barry for a number of years and have seen the passion and value he brings to the geospatial intelligence mission.”
Barlow, while at NGA, served as a chief architect, chief engineer, program manager, director of the acquisition directorate and led development and deployment of a geospatial intelligence system worldwide.
Deb Oliver, COO and EVP at SI, said the company appointed Barlow for his insights into cloud computing, big data analysis, geospatial intelligence integration and geospatial intelligence data standards.
