On Tuesday, GovCon Wire broke the news of Wayne Lucernoni assuming full-time leadership of the information technology services unit at Harris Corp.
The 22-year company veteran previously served as president of the unit on an acting basis, succeeding Ted Hengst, who became CEO at Artel LLC in December.
In his new role, Lucernoni will be responsible for growing the unit’s portfolio of business with all segments in the federal government, as well as markets in the commercial healthcare information technology sector.
Prior to leading IT services, Lucernoni served as vice president of intelligence, civil and healthcare IT programs and before that as VP for civil and intelligence program areas.
Lucernoni has also led the Patriot contract with the National Reconnaissance Office, which the company says is its second-largest program.
