acquisitionTYSONS CORNER, VA, March 29, 2016 — NTT Data and Dell have agreed on the $3.05 billion sale of the latter’s information technology services and consulting business to the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NYSE: NTT) subsidiary, GovCon Wire reported Monday.
The report said the transaction works to support NTT Data’s efforts to expand into the U.S. and other geographic markets.
Dell aims to use proceeds from the sale to help finance its own $67 billion acquisition of EMC (NYSE: EMC) by the end of the second quarter, the report added.
