In his new role, the 28-year intelligence community veteran will be responsible for developing and implementing national security programs and supporting homeland protection programs.
Prior to this appointment, McCugh served in leadership roles at both the FBI and the CIA.

Dan Hushton, former chief technologist at EMC Corp. and Sun Microsystems, will join CSC as chief technology officer.
“Our company’s transformation initiative relies heavily on our ability to drive growth in next-generation technology solutions,” said Mike Lawrie, CSC president and CEO.
Hushton is a 20-year technology veteran who has worked extensively in both big data and cloud services.
