general-dynamics-logo2TYSONS CORNER, VA April 6, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Bath Iron Works $610 million in construction funds for the Arleigh Burke-class DDG 122 destroyer, GovCon Wire reported Thursday.
Fred Harris, president of Bath Iron Works, said the funding award represents an appreciation of the company’s participation in the military service’s shipbuilding platforms.
“This announcement allows us to continue efforts associated with planning and construction of DDG 122,” he added.
