The first major announcement covered was the appointment of former Army Maj. Gen. David Lacquement to senior vice president and program development director for SAIC’s cybersecurity unit.
“His background and leadership will be invaluable as we execute our cybersecurity strategy and protect the nation’s critical systems from cyber attacks,” said Charles Beard, SAIC SVP, chief information officer and general manager of the cybersecurity unit.
His most recent military position was director of operations at U.S. Cyber Command and he previously served as commander of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command.
The second major executive move announced this week by GovCon Wire, was QinetiQ North America’s appointment of Bruce Feldman as senior vice president for the national systems sector, within the mission and information solutions operating unit.
John Sutton, executive VP and general manager of the mission and information solutions operating unit said Feldman brings 20 years of experience in communications, engineering and cyber.
