TYSONS CORNER, VA March 10, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — GovCon Wire reported Monday on Maximus’ $300 million cash deal for Falls Church, Virginia-based Acentia, an acquisition the Reston company intends to leverage in its bid to extend its presence in the government market space.
Acentia offers software development, system modernization and program management services to health and civilian agencies, including the Agriculture, Commerce and Health and Human Services departments.
“The Acentia acquisition provides Maximus with an additional growth platform… [and] increases our ability to leverage technology, innovation, subject matter expertise and business development resources,” Maximus CEO Maximus CEO Richard Montoni, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 list for 2015, said in announcing the acquisition agreement.
“By offering our U.S. federal customers a broader continuum of services from IT to business process management, we will be better positioned to meet increased demand for full-service providers at the federal level.”
