TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 12, 2016 — DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI) has entered into an agreement to acquire geospatial information services contractor The Radiant Group for $40 million from cash on hand and $100 million from its revolving line of credit, GovCon Wire reported Tuesday.
The potential $140 million acquisition is part of DigitalGlobe’s goal to diversify its sources of revenue and integrate new offerings for the intelligence and special operations community, DigitalGlobe said Tuesday.
GovCon Wire reports Tony Frazier, senior vice president of DigitalGlobe’s government business, said in a conference call the transaction supports the company’s effort to establish a relationship with the National Reconnaissance Office and build on an existing partnership with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
